The Mission of Surprise Cares Ministry of Calvary Chapel 14:6 is to serve people within  Surprise and its surrounding communities, with the ultimate goal of connecting them with  God through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Ministry collaborates with the City of  Surprise Resource Center (SRC) to provide community assistance to those who are  vulnerable and have fallen short of basic needs and necessities. We strive to be the  tangible hands & feet of Jesus.

PRE-ASSEMBLY in Home

Some projects need to be completed prior to packing  events and are best suited for those who prefer to work  from their homes, whether as individuals or as teams. The  Volunteer Coordinator will coordinate with you for these  tasks.

SETUP for Events

Scheduled for a Sunday afternoon at the Church Office, 1  day prior to the packing event. Tasks include counting and  physical activity, including lifting up to 30 lbs. Volunteer  assistance will be requested as needed. Volunteer time:  2-3 Hrs.

PACKING EVENTS

Scheduled for a Monday evening at the Church Office.  Teams assemble kits designed to provide specific items  and the Gospel. Only 1 member of each team is needed to  pack/close/ move boxes, which involves lifting up to 30  pounds. Along with worship and fellowship, a light meal is  provided – RSVPs are needed for these events. Volunteer  time: 2-3 Hrs.

DELIVERY to the Surprise Resource Center

Scheduled during a weekday following the Monday  Packing Event. This involves physical activity, including  lifting up to 30 lbs. Volunteer time: 1 Hr.

Please be sure to mark on your envelope that the  donation is for “Surprise Cares” and submit it in a tithe collection bag during service or in one  of the black collection boxes.

Collection Drop Off
